The exhibition of the museum consists of more than 60 display cabinets that showcase a large number of mounted (or otherwise preserved) animals, representing mostly the Greek fauna.

More than 100,000 plant specimens have been deposited in the scientific collections of the Botanical Museum (Herbarium), of which 15,000 are already digitized.
